Four point contact ball bearings are single row ball bearings. They can support radial and axial loads from both directions and thus act as double row angular contact ball bearings.
Both the inner and outer ring have raceways with a gothic arch cross-section. The contact angle is 30°
Bearings of series Q 18.. are generally fitted with a plastic cage.
Radial internal clearance "Normal" according to DIN 620.
Tolerances according to DIN 620, tolerance class PN.
The SBN Expert Tip: Stainless Spit Thin Section Four Point Contact Ball Bearings.
This version of the four point contact ball bearings has a splitted inner ring and a splitted outer ring.
Due to the slotted bearing rings, a plastic strip cage, guided by rolling elements, can be used with more balls and a larger quantity of balls. A contact angle of 90° of the bearings makes it possible that radial and axial loads can be supported in both directions.
The bearings be used in a temperature range from -40° bis +100°C. It is recommended to use an alternative cage material for higher temperatures.
Stainless steel is used for the rings and balls which is excellent corrosion resistance.
We offer aligned spherical tolerances for the varies designs e.g., for special technical requirements, preloads, smooth running etc. Please contact us for more information.
